Wednesday 26th April 1876 – Wind S.W. to
South pleasant breeze & very fine throughout. Patrick Fowlow’s new
schooner launched this morning named the “Starlight”, Abt 2 o’clock Brig
Gem from the ice & St. John’s after landing 1800 seals.
