Friday 10th July 1846 – Fine, dry, clear, & warm wind from S.W. – Afternoon wind west fresh breeze & warm sultry heat foreboding rain – about 10 minutes after 6pm – New boat Dash was launched in excellent style by Mr. Wm Warn Evening – cloudy, dry & warm wind continuing S.W. Fishery progressing badly no fish having been obtained today either with hook & line or cod seine worth recording.
