Saturday 7th Feb 1852 – Cloudy & Gloomy, wind W.N.W, thermometer 32º plus at ½ past 8am Brig Angler was launched in excellent style, by Mr. Charles Newhook – the colors were hoisted in various parts of the room, & onboard the vessels, to commemorate the event – Afternoon gloomy, & moderate breeze of wind N.N.W. bordering on clam – at 2pm wind veered S.W. – very mild evening – wind & weather similar to last.
